I recently met the author at a course run by EOinc and found him very personable and open to new approaches. I've only read a couple of chapters but I also found it an easy but informative read. One of Schram's most remarkable ideas for me was that VB can learn a lot from RDI. Schram asserts that, although he feels we have things about right in the higher demand, DTT, areas of programmes, we're leaving too many gaps when it comes to lower demand parts of sessions and RDI-type activity's/programming may well be one way of closing some of them. He probably wont thank me for my crude paraphrasing so it's best if you read it from the horse's mouth so to speak!
