VB Community - Teaching to children with autism

Based in Scotland, I provide a UK-wide, independent Autism and Education consultancy service specialising in early childhood intervention; but supporting children across the age range.
I provide a range of services and support packages including pre and post diagnosis assessments and information, educational reports, home intervention programmes and 1.1 play based therapy sessions. I have training and experience in a range of interventions including PECS, makaton/ BSL, ABA/ VB (including PRT), play and drama therapy and am visiting the states this summer to undertake some intensive training in the newly researched Early Start Denver Model. I can provide you with a range of options for your home based programme.
Initial assessments can take place in the home for either 1 or 2 full days, and a full, detailed report will be provided following all visits.
With over 10 years primary teaching experience, an MA and pending PhD in Autism and Education I also advise and support families that choose to run a home programme. Through identifying each child’s unique needs and abilities to design and implement an effective early intervention home teaching programme that is tailor made to each child’s own unique needs. With my experience and training in a range of interventions including ABA/VB coupled with more developmental approaches your child can access the most appropriate intervention for them.
I provide all email and telephone support for free; including an hour long initial consultation with no obligation. I currently have some availability both for Scotland based clients, and distance families. I visit london and the south east on a monthly basis, so all travel and accommodation costs are shared.
