An ideal candidate should already have experience in working with autistic children, have knowledge of sign-along or makaton and have good communication skills.
The role involves keeping her safe and engaging her appropriately in the various activities provided. We use ABA to teach her play and social skills, full training will be provided. If you have experience working as an ABA therapist in a home programe or a school setting please apply for this post.
A prospective candidate should be a fun and responsible person, this role is particularly suitable for a person who has a teaching background or a university student of psychology, PGCE, or speach and language therapy. You should have a work permit, national insurance number and enhanced CRB check.
The minimum pay rate is £8 per hour, but can be negotiated, depending on the candidate’s experience and suitability for the role.
We are also seeking a Lead ABA therapist for our program who has minimum 3 years experience within various settings and the minimum rate for this will be £15 per hour, again depending on experience.

Hi,
I am an ABA trainee in Manchester. At present I am working and training with one family on an ABA programme run by PEACH. I am really interested in training with more families as ideally I would like to work full time as an ABA tutor.
Just a bit about myself too... I have a BSc degree in Psychology (awarded 1st class honours). As part of my degree I studied modules in both developmental and child psychology. I have some previous experience as a teaching assistant in a special needs school, which involved working with children on the autistic spectrum, and also children with physical, mental and learning disabilities.
I am a very reliable, committed and hard working person. I'm twenty three, youthful, fun, motivated and love working with children.
Would you be interested in taking on a trainee to join your team?
Jayney
