I am an independent BCBA ABA consultant with over 6 years experience in managing programs for children on different levels under the autistic spectrum disorder. My service is based on the UCLA model of aba and is designed for early intervention programs working with children from 18 months to 6 years old. I work on workshop based programs (both part time and full time) where I offer the appropriate training and guidance to both families and tutors. The program starts by a initial training followed then by constant monitoring, training and guidance through a every 4 weeks workshop. VB support in Chelsea mainstream school for 5 year-old boy needed.

Our 5-year-old son has been attending a mainstream school in Chelsea since September 2011. He has been on a VB program since he was 2 1/2 years old, supervised by Dawn Sullivan. At the time of starting the program, our son was non-verbal, but has made amazing progress since hiring Dawn along with experienced tutors.
We're currently looking for one or two experienced tutors to attend school with our son on Mondays and Wednesdays for 6 1/2 hours pr day. We have 6-weekly supervision meetings with Dawn Sullivan and the school is very supportive, flexible and understanding of the VB approach.

Initial Tutor Training
As the essential course at the start of the ABA journey, this Peach course gives
a general introduction to ABA that covers the general principles and methodology
of ABA programmes.
It is a great introduction to ABA for tutors who have joined a team after the
initial workshop, and a useful refresher for more established team members.
The two day course covers the following areas:
• How to take data and analyse it.
• It outlines specific teaching procedures used in ABA programmes such as
discrete trial teaching and natural environment teaching.
• It describes teaching techniques such as prompting, shaping, chaining,
errorless learning, fluency and mixing tasks
• Includes information on generalisation.
• Defines reinforcement and how to use it effectively.
Peach: School Shadowing/Support Course
The Peach School Shadowing presentation includes information regarding shadowing techniques including:
prompting, reinforcement, task analysis, promoting communication and interaction.
It includes a variety of ways in which the national curriculum can be differentiated within schools.
In addition to this, professionalism in schools is addressed including working as part of the class team.
The course also provides the following;
• The definition of the shadow
• Role of the shadow
• How to teach classroom routines
• Common complications encountered in the school environment
This course is useful for tutors who are (or are training to be) shadows in school, and for parents/teachers who wish to better understand the role of the shadow.
